Where are the sample books?

 

AspireReader ships with two sample books.  

 

DAISY 3.0 Sample:  The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, by Arthur Konan Doyle

This book is text only and should be read with the text to speech engine.

 

DAISY 2.02 Sample:  The City Garden by Peter H. Reynolds

This book contain both human voice and text to speech.  You may use either to read the book.

 

 

 

The books have been installed in you’re My Documents directory in a sub-directory named Aq_Bks.

The page shows and image of a My Documents folder. The file folder Aq Books is circled.

 

You may open the books using the file menu, or the toolbar button.

The page shows the image of the file menu opened to reveal the DAISY 2 point oh 2 and DAISY 3 options.   The page shows the image of the Open Daisy Button opened to reveal the DAISY 2 point oh 2 and DAISY 3 options.

 

You can also open the AspireLibrary and update it to locate the books.

The page shows an image of the Aspire Library populated with the two sample books. The Update Library button is circled. An arrow from the button show the two sample books. This indicates that the first step in the process is updating the library. An arrow from the books to the Open Book button shows the user that they can select a book and click on open book to open it in Aspire Reader.
