Pearce McNulty Joins Aequus Management Team

Pine Brook, NJ - February 7, 2006 - Aequus Technologies Corp. today announced that Pearce McNulty will join the Company's new Digital Publishing Solutions (DPS) division as Vice President of Publishing Operations. In this capacity, Pearce will oversee U.S. operations for Aequus' SWAP™ content conversion services and the AspireREADER™ rendering software to deliver Aequus HotBooks to educational publishers.

"We are extremely excited by Pearce's addition to the Aequus management team. His in-depth knowledge of the K-12 educational publishing industry, both in terms of publishing operations and technology, will help position Aequus for growth as a leading supplier of next generation digital educational material," said Richard Schatzberg, Aequus founder and Chief Executive Officer.

With over 14 years in educational publishing, McNulty most recently directed publishing technology strategy for the Corporate Strategy and Governance group at Houghton Mifflin Company, a leading provider of K-12 instructional materials. Prior to this role, McNulty served in a variety of management and technology positions within the Houghton Mifflin K-12 publishing divisions, most recently as the head of publishing technology efforts for Houghton’s largest educational publishing division with $400M in sales.

McNulty also served as Chairman of the American Association of Publishers committee on Serving Students with Disabilities. In this role, he gained industry-wide consensus to work with disability groups on the creation of the National Instructional Materials Standard (NIMAS) which was written into federal law as part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA).
